NCAA Division III 800m Recruiting Standards (2026-27)
The honest answer to "am I a D3 800m athlete?" is not a published standard — it is what D3 programs actually signed. Every number below comes from the real high-school marks of the 2025-26 class.
P50 (median) = the middle signee’s PR. P25 = the top quarter of the class; P75 = the back quarter. 1500m/Mile and 3000m marks are shown as 1600m/3200m equivalents. Aggregated from verified meet results, American signees only.

Girls · 800m
100 signees · 67 programsNot enough verified data to publish a girls 800m standard here.
Only 54% of the D3 girls signing class has a verified high-school mark of any kind. A pool that thin is skewed toward the athletes who got results written up — the fast end — so any median we printed would read faster than what this level actually signs. We hold 100 800m marks here and are not publishing a standard off them.
Every competitor publishing a number here is estimating one. We would rather show nothing. Try the girls read at another level, or run a real mark through the fit check below — it scores against every program that has data, not a division average.
A D3 median doesn't recruit anyone. Programs do.

One division, one signing class, and a range that changes every year — that is what this page is. Program-by-program the bar swings hard in both directions, and progression, event needs, academics and roster spots decide as much as the mark does.
