Best NAIA women's programs for middle distance

Questions athletes and parents ask
Which NAIA women's programs recruit the most middle distance athletes?
Milligan, St Francis IN, Morningside, Bellevue University, Governors State University carry and sign well above the NAIA average in middle distance (21% of a typical NAIA roster). They have more roster spots in the event to fill every year.
Which NAIA programs do not recruit middle distance?
6 NAIA women's programs show no middle distance athletes racing and no signings in the event in the classes we hold, including Dakota Wesleyan, Indiana Kokomo, Langston, Rust, Southwestern Christian, Warner. A thin group there is not an opening.
Does a bigger share of the roster mean more scholarship money?
Colleges do not publish scholarships by event. Where a program spends its roster spots and its signings is the best public evidence of where the money goes, and a program that carries twice the division share in your event has roughly twice the seats to fill. Ask the coach about aid directly.
How is this calculated?
From each program's official outdoor results lists (who raced each event area, averaged over the seasons we hold), its signing classes (2025-26, 2026-27), its share of the division's top marks, and whether a paid coach is titled for the event. Each is compared with the NAIA average and blended; a small class is pulled toward the average so one big year cannot fake a specialty.
