▸Eastern Michigan track and field has produced an Olympian in every Summer Games since 1960, with EMU athletes combining for eight Olympic medals as of 2024, including Hayes Jones (bronze in the 110m hurdles at 1960 Rome, gold at 1964 Tokyo), Hasely Crawford (100m gold for Trinidad and Tobago at 1976 Montreal), and Earl Jones (800m bronze for the U.S. at the 1984 Games).

▸In February 2026, EMU track and field alum Jasmine Jones won a bronze medal in the two-woman bobsled for Team USA at the Winter Olympics -- the first Olympic medal by an EMU athlete competing for the United States since Earl Jones' 800m bronze at the 1984 Los Angeles Games, more than four decades earlier.
