PROGRAM DNA · D3 WOMEN'S · HEPTATHLON, DECATHLON
Best D3 women's programs for multi-events
Not who is famous: who invests. A typical D3 women's roster puts 3% of its athletes in multi-events. The programs at the top of this list carry and sign far more than that, so they have more spots in the event every year. 207 programs do not recruit it at all.

Questions athletes and parents ask
Which D3 women's programs recruit the most multi-events athletes?
George Fox, Wis Eau Claire, Bethel MN, Concordia Moorhead, Tufts carry and sign well above the D3 average in multi-events (3% of a typical D3 roster). They have more roster spots in the event to fill every year.
Which D3 programs do not recruit multi-events?
207 D3 women's programs show no multi-events athletes racing and no signings in the event in the classes we hold, including Adrian, Albion, Alfred State, Allegheny, Alma, Alvernia. A thin group there is not an opening.
Does a bigger share of the roster mean more scholarship money?
Colleges do not publish scholarships by event. Where a program spends its roster spots and its signings is the best public evidence of where the money goes, and a program that carries twice the division share in your event has roughly twice the seats to fill. Ask the coach about aid directly.
How is this calculated?
From each program's official outdoor results lists (who raced each event area, averaged over the seasons we hold), its signing classes (2025-26, 2026-27), its share of the division's top marks, and whether a paid coach is titled for the event. Each is compared with the D3 average and blended; a small class is pulled toward the average so one big year cannot fake a specialty.
